The Lampros Labs team is delighted to announce the hiring of Praphulla Sabbineni as DevOps Developer, a new position created within the company this year. Praphulla recently earned her Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati. She brings 2 years of professional experience with her, gained primarily at Capgemini. Praphulla’s duties at Lampros Labs will include writing software as well as establishing and managing the systems that host and support the applications developed by the company for its clients. Praphulla will be taking over Dev Ops tasks currently conducted by the company’s Lead Back End Developer, Colton Laker, and the company’s founder and CEO, Troy Davis.
DevOps Skills in High Demand Across the Industry
Davis says that Ms. Sabbineni is the perfect hire at just the right time for his company: “Lampros has begun working with larger clients in the last year, with increasingly sophisticated infrastructural needs. Praphulla couldn’t have joined our team at a more opportune time, she’s an experienced developer who brings in-depth DevOps skills to our company, a skillset which has become vital to providing exceptional services to our clients. She’ll be developing and refining a new set of practices that I believe will be an essential service going forward, differentiating us from our competitors quite favorably.”
DevOps is a relatively new job title in the software development / IT industry. From the Wikipedia entry: “DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops). It aims to shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DevOps)
Ms. Sabbineni is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools through her work with Lampros Labs. During her free time, Ms. Sabbineni enjoys reading mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels, and painting landscapes with water colors. She is also a certified yoga trainer and instructor, having received her instruction at the Bodhi Yoga Institute in India. She has been teaching hatha style yoga to students around the university throughout her masters studies.
Praphulla Sabbineni has been hired as the first DevOps Developer at Lampros Labs, a software development firm in the greater Cincinnati area. Ms. Sabbineni will be designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining IT infrastructure for the company’s clients, as well as developing software with the rest of the development team. The company expects to expand its business with larger clients assisted by Ms. Sabbineni’s expertise.
